UX Research is the starting line. Simplify the requirements. Perform competitive analysis and start collaboration.
User rapid prototyping [custom Design System]. Communicate with designers/ developers for building the UX.
Testing can start with 5 or 10 prototypes. ("sooner-the-better") Perform various types of testing to ensure a satisfied user experience.
Discover + Define + Ideate + Prototype + Test
(Some share or state UX Design Process):
UX Design involves understanding the product. Product knowledge is key. Understanding how the product works or functions is very helpful to providing prototypes that should have a good user experience. And we must provide a clear, intuitive navigation from building user-friendly information architecture.
1) Requirements —
The "Discover + Define" steps are apart of gathering requirements. The Design-Step is sharing "Ideas and Prototypes." Establish the company’s goals of the product with clear objectives. This involves the expectations of the end user or “user goals.” (This must be well defined.) This relates to the customer journey or user experience and should include their possible emotions or behaviors. Yes, we want to design and establish a good and [satisfied] user experience.
2) Designing —(wireframing, prototyping, collaborating)
3) Testing —(Testing: A/B, Guerrilla, Qualitative vs Quantitative, etc.)
In conclusion a simplified 'UX-Design-Process' has 3-Steps not 5-Steps. [Requirements + Design + Testing]
UX Design involves User Interface, Visual Design, Colors and Branding, Custom Graphics, and Typography. This interface is usually developed with custom icons, graphics and a framework. The framework chosen includes rapid development from templated sections or pages. Branding is established for a consistent visual identity and for user engagment. Customers or clients appreciate the overall [look/ feel] or consistent branding. Users will actually use the product easier/ faster when there is a consistent user interface. This creates less headaches, and hopefully bad user experiences. One of the end goals is for an intuitive experience.
[Don't-Make-The-User-Think]
Consistency is included for a good user experience for the end user. The navigation is thoughtfully incorporated from well defined (user journey) and collaboration with end users who use the product on a daily basis. The interface must have responsiveness and functionality for an intuitive experience, even for the average Joe. When using the interface from steps A-B and A-Z, the user wants to [not think] and [intuitively] use the product whether an application, website or software.
In conclusion the interface is built with trying to (think-like-the-user). The end users are internal or external users. The goal is for a good and satisfied user experience throughout the user interface.

On my Graphic and Web Design team, at school, we had a handful of talent. I was in the top five. I was very competitive - and still am. My passion is Web and Mobile App Development.
[Earned B.A.] Started as a Graphic Designer (who loved to create vector & raster based graphics), with a passion for 3-D Animation. I loved to create 3-D models, and animate. Then my passion moved to Web Design.
Full-Time Freelance (Graphic/Web Design). In 1999... worked on multiple projects, for large and small firms, on a freelance basis.(FedEx, AT&T, Rubbermaid, Marriott hotel, PGA Tour, Mossy Oak, Aquent, etc.)
(Freelance @night) Started a deep study of the capabilities of Flash and Website Development. I loved Flash, and started studies in JQuery, in 2006. I still study JQuery today.
Instructor at High-Tech Institute. Chosen from pool of (40 people) to be SME for all multimedia courses. Created tests and taught all design and animation courses.
At Fundcraft Publishing, a book publishing company, designed an online Publisher app similar to ShutterFly with successful customers creating (books, photobooks, cookbooks, notebooks, calendars, etc.)
Designed custom logos, icons, fonts, brochures, posters, websites and mobile apps. (AT&T, NFL, Marriott International, Fruit of the Loom, Nashville Predators (NHL), OmniMetrix, FedEx, Flooded-Timbers, Donated Dental, Shacklett's Photography, etc.)
For InstantPublisher.com, I applied true SEO studied techniques. Achieved SEO success with 20-of-30 keywords/ keyword phrases on page 1 & 2 of Google. (We learned true SEO teachniques, through webinars & hardwork.)
While at FedEx, I designed multiple interactive/intuitive prototypes. I helped design three (3) web-based apps with PHP & JAVA Developers. This helps them save time and money, managing their servers.
For the GA Department of Revenue, I provided a solution for a server issue. This allowed several apps to keep running, thus saving thousands of dollars for the company. We also created a mobile app for GA residents to easily check their tax refund status.
ICON Library (250+ icons) in Illustrator [SVG or PNG formats] for Nordson. (*Library and custom Style Guide are saving teams and worldwide branches time/ money.) Designed multiple mobile apps for (Kellogg's, Pampers, and Nabisco) - helping save time/money for teams and managers.
Designed mobile app for doctors, nurses and admin can share invaluable information to patients and with other doctors/nurses/admin. This included use of the surrounding (6) states of Utah. [The success is in sharing notes, documents, videos and surgical procedures.]
At Cotiviti designed a responsive web-based app. Replaces dinosaur systems that used (3) systems to organize healthcare documents. This new app allows internal and external users to use a modern portal that simplifies the process using [1] system, stores the documents in a particular directory/ folder. It does use Machine Learning (ML).
At Avanos Medical designed custom prototypes for various pain pump devices and digestive care devices. Also was a custom mobile app for iOS and Android to coordinate with the pain pump. (1st of its' kind in U.S.)
At Snap Inc we simplified a 100-page requirement document. The users may now use a very intuitive web-based application. This portal is to report chemicals/ weapons to the Chemicals/ Weapons department of the U.S. government. The process is saving tons of time/ money because simply put they... (printed a PDF & completed by pen & faxed 200+ pages via fax back to the government). Their headaches are gone and are happy to go to work, ha!
